Run Prestwood

May 12 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Run Prestwood is a road race that has taken place in the village of Prestwood since 1993. The event started as a 10k race in association with a local leisure centre and has gone on to now include a 5k fun run and a children’s race.

Each year, hundreds of runners flock to Prestwood to run for the prestigious event. Working on their personal best timings, putting their training to the test or simply doing it for fun.

“I have done a lot of races over the years, from huge city centre marathons to tiny village fun runs, and Run Prestwood is still one of my favourites. It is well organised, with good signage and enough marshals on hand to stop you getting lost in the wilds of Buckinghamshire. I’d recommend Run Prestwood to anyone – from serious runners to newbies – because it’s a great, inclusive event and the organisers make everyone feel welcome” – Hannah, previous runner.

We have two routes through the beautiful village of Prestwood.

5k or 10k.  Both start from Prestwood Gym and Fitness Centre (previously known as Sprinters Leisure Centre) and are mainly road races.  The 10k is chip timed, the 5k is not timed.

We also have a children’s 2k race on the day, this will also take place at Prestwood Gym and Fitness Centre.

All profits from the race go to the Chilterns Neuro Centre, a local therapy and support centre for people living with neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson’s and stroke survivors.

Taking part in Run Prestwood is more than running, it’s life-changing for people affected by MS, Parkinson’s and strokes. As the event is hosted by the Chilterns Neuro Centre, all money raised by the event will go directly towards helping people affected by those conditions to live life to the full. If you’re taking part then why set up a JustGiving fundraising page and raise even more money for the Centre?
